Join our max 10 vehicle 4×4 self drive guided trail of Namibia. As soon as the borders open why not get in your 4×4 and drive up to Windhoek?

We take 10 vehicles max on a self drive trail through Namibia. We meet at the bar garden at Arebbusch Travel Lodge in Windhoek and enjoy a drink while you have your briefing. Your trail leader will issue you with a 2 way radio for the duration of the drive.

We will book the camp sites and braai your meals. Chad, your guide, has 25 years experience in tourism and has actually walked the entire length of the Namib desert. We can organise emergency air ambulance insurance for the duration of your trail, and we cater to all dietary requirements.

Namibia Safari Tour
Day 1

17h00: Meet at Arrebusch Lodge in Windhoek for your briefing and a few social drinks while connecting with your fellow travelers. We will issue you with a 2 way radio for the duration of your trail and we will chat about the do’s and dont’s. We run our trails on a strict Eco-friendly basis. What we take in we will take out. We will only leave our tire tacks as they say.

Day 2

08h00: Depart and travel via the curio market in Okahandja to Anderson gate at Etosha National Park. Afternoon game drive at your leisure while our camp assistant sets up the camp. Sunset drinks at the Okaukuejo camp waterhole. Dinner and evening in the camp. There is an option for a night drive but that will have to be booked prior to arrival.

Day 3

Full days game drive at your leisure. Chad will lead you to the waterholes skirting the pan and with the 2 way radios we stay in contact and share sightings.

Namibia Camping Trail

Day 4

Sunrise depart via Galton gate to Opuwo. Last minute shopping for snacks, drinks and fuel before heading to the Van Zyl’s pass camp site. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Early morning rise before Sunrise to test your 4×4 skills while traveling down the Van Zyl’s Pass and into the Marrianefluss. Explore the “fluss” and travel up to the Kunene River. Overnight on the Kunene River at Camp Syncro.

Day 6

Visit a Himba Village and travel via Red Drum to Marble mine camp site.

Day 7

We travel via the Khumib & Hoariseb Rivers to Puros. En route we keep an eye out for the Desert elephants, lions, giraffe and general game. Our route will take us up and over Mt Himba. Overnight spent at the Puros camp site.

Day 8

At sunrise departure up the Puros Canyon and on to the Hoanib River. Afternoon game drive to try find the Desert adapted elephants and lions. Late afternoon arrival at camp in the Hoanib River.

Day 9

Head South via Palmwag to the Huab river and bush camp at sunset. Time perhaps to see a rhino.

Day 10

It is a fun day today. We travel via the Ugab river and the save the rhino camp into Damaraland. We camp at the Messum crater or Koppie alleen.

Day 11

On our last day we travel via the seal colony at Cape Cross, Henties Bay, and the Zelia Wreck to Swakopmund.

We say farewell to our new friends and enjoy a last dinner at a local restaurant.
